It’s New Year

I really enjoy Christmas – it’s not just the presents and fuss – it’s more about the wrapping paper, cardboard packaging and leftovers, all of which are edible. We even managed a trip to the pub on Christmas day, which was a bonus as they have free biscuits.

On Boxing Day we took a walk over to Holford in the snow and the Quantocks were lovely with plenty of opportunity to run and run and run. We had guests in between Christmas and New Year so I had to be on my best behaviour and Ian and Lynne ran a New Years break – although I could do without people being too noisy and I DON’T LIKE crackers.

I have just come back from a few days in Dorset and  had a lovely time swimming off Chesil Beach even though it was a bit nippy. Now it’s back to the norm. I avoided barking at the hotel inspector today and really do need to lose a few pounds!

Come to see me at The Old Cider House, bed and breakfast, Nether Stowey, Somerset
