Sometimes weeks that are really good for humans can be a bit boring for dogs. For instance, this week I practised a new walk for Real Ale Walks – over to Oatley Vineyard. This was a good walk, don’t get me wrong, but sitting drinking chilled wine in the shade of the vines with home made dolmades with the sun in a cloudless sky, doesn’t do anything for me. I’d rather be playing with Milo the vineyard dog (but I wasn’t allowed). Then on Thursday we went down to the Rose and Crown to see funny men dancing around with hankies in their hands – then the morris men arrived! Again, I like going down to the pub but it’s a bit boring when all you can see is blokes with bells on their legs playing funny music which hurts your ears. Ian said that this wos why he moved to the countryside – I think he might be a bit simple.
The really good news is that Dog Friendly Quantocks have got a grant to develop their website. Whilst I have no idea what a grant is, Ian said it was good and has been doing things on the computery thing in the office to make nice pictures. Ian even went to see the people wot do the websity thing (he said they made him feel old as they were all about twelve years old). So keep your eyes open for the new site which should be up and running later in the summer.
Lynne says to remind you all that we are quite busy at weekends, but that the Quantocks are a really nice place for a midweek break.
